Sunless.com Sunless Tanning Guinea Pig Award
On this page, we will honor those who have gone where no sunless tanner has gone before. Rarely given, it is our highest honor.
Our first award goes to Nicki, who on this day, June 29th, 1999, applied henna to her skin (even her face!) to see what would happen. Now no one else has to!

Okay, I did it with the body art tanner and ya know what I got? Super streaky (because it's hard to smooth on super-evenly) ORANGE (worse than the crappiest most orange tanner you can think of) Blotchy, "tan" Ack! This mock tan is terrible! I'm lucky my face came out evenly but it's still orange tinged...like the BB DD Mouse. Bluck...this is depressing...
Our second award goes to Laurie Lu, who mixed products together to come up with her own homemade sunless tan "extender" product, thereby saving the lives of many with what we now call the LL Method.

At this moment I am doing an experiment. I mixed some Queen Helene's cocoa butter lotion and Avon sunless tanner. I made the mixture as this: QH = 2/3 and Avon = 1/3. I keep this mixture in a large bottle. I apply this every day and am gradually building up a believable color. I don't think my skin can handle a straight application of pure sunless tanner. The other thing I've noticed doing this experiement is that I am not getting lizard skin at all. As my skin naturally exfoliates on it's own, it is being covered back up daily with my diluted mixture. I am not doing any weekly exfoliating in the shower either.
