We went to the Expo cafeteria to eat lunch, where Barb and I discovered we share an affinity for good old macaroni and cheese. In the restaurant, Eric took our picture.
I have corresponded with Barb via email for more than a year, and she has helped me tremendously by passing on her astute impressions of products, not to mention stocking a full selection of products that can be impossible to get year round, such as Banana Boat sunless tanning mousse.
There is many a thank you email I receive that should really go to Barb.
We discussed the importance of customer service; Tanforless.com has a great selection and great prices, but the loyalty they have engendered has been due to their superior customer service.
Barb got a gleam in her eye when the topic came up. "I've been a bit of a stickler about that," she said, not quite apologetically.
Tanforless.com will be carrying Beach by Strong Products soon, and Barb got another gleam in her eye when I told her how dark it was.
After we parted with hugs all around, I cruised though the Expo again, picking up more samples.
By this time, I was heavily under the influence of the primary trade show attendee emotion, greed, and hankered for a wheelbarrow.
By far the biggest draw was the John Abaté International [JA] exhibit, who had both their male and female models on hand to autograph posters. Astoundingly, they looked better in real life than they do in the ads, where they are not exactly shabby.
The female model did not appear to have a speck of tan, sunless or otherwise.
Hot Rumor: The JA model's perfect skin has never seen the inside of a tanning bed.
While waiting in line at the John Abaté International booth, I finally realized I was not getting to the John Abaté International party. I felt sad, and I tried to rationalize that I was sad because I was going to miss out on a lot of hot rumors. But I knew it was because I had lost out on a chance to wear my new shoes.
