The first contestant's pictures were enclosed with the warning: "Don't get too excited — it's just pictures." But it was already too late. I was thrilled. These two photos show her after applying Banana Boat Sunless Tanning Mousse Soft Medium Blend twice on two separate days, with a day off in the middle. The last application was the night before the photos were taken. The same brand was used everywhere, face and body. She sent other photos demonstrating another brand, but, alas, they did not come out well. Let that be a lesson to anyone who tries to take their own picture. It ain't easy...

This is a dang good fake tan. Just look at those hands! It was a challenge to show accurately — the second picture comes closest. Thankfully, Ms. One had the kindness to wear white. I have to admit my fake tan has never looked this good (sob). Her tip: "Gloves are great!" Although Ms. One did not win the prize, she had the honor of being the contestant who drove everyone insane as they tried to make up their minds who to vote for. "Entry number one has the nicest most believable tan of the seven."
