Sunless Tanning Contest 1999
Contestant Number Five
Attention: This contest ended September 18, 1999
Hot damn! A contestant who didn't want his face blurred.
Mr. Five says he has skin type III. He sent in an electronic image due to lack of time. But I have already forgiven him.
He was quite industrious, applying Sea & Ski Deep Dark about six times over a ten day period, the last application 12 hours before the photo was taken.
In addition, he applied Banana Boat Sunless Tanning Creme Deep Dark Blend to his upper body and face about three hours before the photo was taken. He didn't have help except for, occasionally, his back.
Judging by that tan line, his work paid off!
Mr. Five's sunless tanning tips:
"Real tans are rarely even. Don't tan under the arms or your sides as much as other areas most tanning on shoulders/upper back and usually the face."
"Don't go for a hard tan line at the bottom of shorts. Go for a more blended transition."
"I find the cremes are easier to control than the sprays."
While Mr. Five did not win the prize, he received mucho praise for his application technique:
"I vote for number five. He applied the tanner the way the sun would hit him, so to me it looks the most natural."
