For the first time, I've tried a sunless tanner that's left me indecisive. The question I had a difficult time answering: am I a nice light golden brown color, or do I look like a giant banana? So let's talk about the smell and ease of application for a while. In those areas, I've made up my mind: smell and ease of application are perhaps the best of any product I've tried. This product is one of the very, very few that does not leave you feeling greasy or sticky and smells as good three hours later as it did when you first applied it.

That may be why I am having a hard time making my mind up about the quality of the color. I want the color to be good, damn it, so I can keep using this product. I want to keep using this product.

Then again, maybe I should think about the price. It isn't cheap. If you used this product to maintain a sunless tan, you would be spending about $80 a month. If you follow the instructions and apply in a thin, even layer, you will still only get about a week's worth of sunless tanning out of each tube.

You might wonder how, at just twenty cents an ounce more than Hawaiian Tropic Herbal Self Tanning Foam, it could be all that expensive. It's just that it doesn't go very far. A Hawaiian Tropic Foam tan would add up to about $30 a month even if you were eight feet tall and spilled stuff all the time. Compare that to $80 a month and you'll see that you could end up eating an awful lot of Top Ramen at the end of the month.

You'll be glad to know I have finally quit waffling about the color: It is too yellow on me. Thank goodness I was able to make a decision before I was totally destitute.
